Return visit on 15th January 2023: 20oz T-bone steak at 25 each - absolutely srummmy. Great, humorous service, too. Truly one of Coventry's (not so) hidden gems. First visit: Fabulous experience for their Sunday roast. Three of us ordered the beef, which was the tenderest I've ever tasted. They will accomodate you, too, if you prefer it to be cooked well-done. Service was excellent and attentive but you must book ahead for Sundays as I witnessed them turning potential customers away due to being fully booked. Great all-round experience in this historic venue.
Took my mum here last week for her birthday and as per usual not a single complaint. By far the best steak in Coventry. Food was amazing, staff couldn't do enough for us. I must have been here 5 or 6 times and it never disappoints. Love it here
Visited for dinner with my friend and had an absolutely incredible meal. The steak was cooked to perfection, chips were to die for and the peppercorn sauce the best I’ve ever tasted- we both had the same and agreed. Following the main, we had the baileys creme brulee which was equally top quality. All food was well worth every penny and the service was also fantastic. The young blonde hostess and tall waiter were really friendly and kind. Will definitely return- thank you.
Amazing meal at the Artisan. I had the Ribeye steak tender as anything, served with chips and Bloody Mary butter was amazing. Eden was so lovely she took my allergies seriously made great recommendations and made us feel so welcome. I would highly recommend this place and if you have the pleasure of getting Eden to serve you will have the best combination of meal and service.
We had our staff Christmas meal here on Friday, staff were fab - very friendly and attentive, and the food was delish! Quirky, cosy old pub and decorated beautifully for Christmas!
This is one of the best if not the best steak I have eaten in a long time! I would rate it 6 stars out of 5! The service was excellent. The owners Claire and Lee (chef) were very hospitable and we had a good time chatting. I was most thankful that they kept the restaurant opened even after we went in at almost closing time. I would strongly recommend anyone who wants a good steak not to miss out on your restaurant!!!
My family came for a Mother's Day Sunday roast and everything was fabulous. The term 'best kept secret' is over-used but it's SO accurate for this beautiful place in the middle of Coventry city centre. Very charming old building, friendly attentive staff, really good quality food - surely one of the best places to eat in the city. I recommend it with no hesitation!
09.03.2025 We popped into the The Artisan Bar and Grill for Sunday Lunch. Had chicken wings to start and the roast beef main. Well presented and very tasty. Attentive and polite staff. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone.
